The importance of talent for Twente
At the core is an optimal collaboration between education (from primary to vocational and higher education), research institutions, and industry. This allows students to learn about the latest developments in their field and immediately develop the skills for the professions of tomorrow. We focus on increasing enrolment in technical programmes and careers, lifelong development, attracting and retaining (international) talent, and utilising all available talent.

Innovation Hub Almelo
After a successful start, the Almelo innovation hub has now received financial support to share its approach with other entrepreneurs in the region, with the goal of further attracting, engaging, and retaining talent in Twente.

Door de krappe arbeidsmarkt wordt het binnen de zorg en welzijn steeds moeilijker om vacatures in te vullen. Daarom wordt deze sector gedwongen om versneld te zoeken naar alternatieven. In Twente werken partners uit onderwijs, werkgevers en overheid samen om op zoek te gaan naar oplossingen.

In many sectors in Twente, there is an increasing shortage of personnel, particularly in healthcare, where demand for services is growing. One solution to address this shortage is to expand part-time contracts for healthcare staff who wish to work more hours.

House of Care and Wellbeing — established by WVG Zorg en Welzijn, ROC van Twente, and Arbeidsmarktregio Oost with funding from Twente Board—aims to address the challenges present in this part of the labour market.
