European Continuous Education
The Euregional Continuous Education path focuses on aligning Dutch and German education with the labour market.
European Continious Education
When Dutch and German students engage with their neighbouring country at an early age, they can develop an affinity and interest in their neighbour’s culture. Research shows that students who have had direct contact with the neighbouring country during their education are much more likely to consider or take up jobs across the border later in life. With the recent economic growth in Twente, the labour market on both sides of the border has become more balanced, leading to shared shortages of (skilled) labour in both countries.
The European Continuous Learning Path (Euregionale doorlopende leerlijn, EDL) focuses on aligning Dutch and German education with the cross-border labour market. Alongside learning each other’s language, it is equally essential to understand each other’s workplace culture. This enhances integration into both the Dutch and German job markets.
