Chiptech
Twente is the national hub for chip design, integrated photonics, and heterogeneous systems. Here, companies, knowledge institutions, and researchers collaborate on the chips of the future: faster, more energy-efficient, and more reliable. With unique facilities such as the MESA+ Nanolab, the High Tech Factory, and the new photonics foundry New Origin, Twente offers a complete pathway from idea to production.
Medtech
MedTech Twente is the beating heart of medical technology and innovation. Here, companies, healthcare institutions, and knowledge partners develop solutions that keep healthcare accessible, affordable, and manageable. With the TechMed Center, the MedTech Factory, and strong partnerships both within and outside the region, Twente is emerging as a European hotspot for health tech.
Defense
